Purpose Statement

Define & Evolve the sales training processes and curriculum strategy for EMEA NMD Sales Team. Elevate the Technical/Clinical/Economic/Business sales skills of the NMD Sales Organization for all franchises (SCS-RF/DBS). Implement and support the Sales and Marketing Business Strategies through NMD Sales Training activities. Implement, in whole or in part, the NMD Sales Training model for new hires, sales management, and ongoing sales product training and meetings. Establish and execute sales training measurements of success.



Key Responsibilities


  • Drive training solutions for NMD EMEA Territory Managers to raise their skillset to proficiency in Technical / clinical selling and SPIN Sales Process
  • Participate in Field Rides and Training events as a core part of the job to achieve the NMD EMEA Training goals.
  • Develops training programs including concept design, materials development and implementation on topics such as OR protocol and procedures, programming patients, product, disease and general medical knowledge, communications, computer and administrative responsibilities, and quality systems training.
  • Continually assesses the training and developmental needs of the Field Sales Representatives to ensure and maintain the high quality of the sales force.
  • May work closely with outside consultants and suppliers to investigate and assist in the implementation of e-learning strategies to support training objectives;
  • Manage the execution and compliance of the New Hire Orientation Program
  • Work with the NMD EMEA Field Sales Trainers to allow them to the targeted level of expected performance.
  • Evolve a standardized and sustainable Field Sales Training program for NMD EMEA, leveraging off existing programs other divisions.
  • Manage the execution and compliance of the Field Sales Training Program
  • Establish Training RoadMaps, Gap Analysis Tools, Competency models and overall framework for Territory Managers, Field Sales Trainers and Sales Management.
  • Establish appropriate training options to address training and development gaps
  • Establish comprehensive communications processes to all stakeholders.
  • Coordinate, manage and facilitate training events.
  • Work with Marketing on various strategic projects, new product launches, program training etc.
  • Liase with US / International Sales Training / Other divisions to leverage best practices, program content, training expertise and other support where possible.
  • Consider language constraints and ensure these are adapted where appropriate.


Requirements for this position

  • Up to 50% travel. 
  • 4 years of successful sales and/or sales management experience
  • Successful sales experience a must
  • Experience in Neuromodulation is a plus
  • Ability to understand technical content
  • Demonstrated advanced oral and written communication skills in English
  • Proficient at multitasking
  • Results & solution oriented
  • Strong project management experience
  • Must enjoy working in a team environment
  • Must excel at working in ambiguous situations
