About The Role:
The Global Business Services (GBS) Finance team supports key finance operations across Boston Scientific, helping to reduce costs, provide value through reporting, drive standardization, leverage resources, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery.
We are currently looking for several Finance GBS Interns to join our teams in areas such as Payments Operations, Intercompany, and Cash Application / Order-to-Cash. As an intern, you will support day-to-day finance activities, reporting, reconciliations, documentation, stakeholder queries, audit requests, and process improvement initiatives within a multinational environment. This role offers hands-on exposure to finance processes, internal controls, cross-functional collaboration, and tools such as SAP, Microsoft Office, and other finance applications.
Your Responsibilities Will Be:
• Support finance operations across GBS processes, including payments, intercompany, cash application, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and related reporting activities.
• Assist with the review and processing of manual payments, outgoing payment matters, vendor master queries, and bank account-related activities.
• Support intercompany activities for entities in scope, including cross-charge preparation, netting activities, monthly journal entries, and stakeholder query resolution.
• Assist with booking and reconciling bank statements, applying customer payments to accounts, clearing open receivables, and supporting cash application-related queries.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities to help ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Help with internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and supporting finance-related inquiries.
• Monitor and comply with defined KPIs, OPIs, SLAs, and GBS standards.
• Maintain and update desktop procedures, process documentation, and other relevant operational materials.
• Identify and support process improvement, standardization, automation, and LEAN initiatives across finance processes.
• Ensure activities are carried out in compliance with corporate and local policies, legal requirements, ethical standards, GAAP principles, and internal quality expectations.
What We Are Looking For In You:
• Student in the final year of bachelor studies, master-level student, or recent graduate in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
• Fluency in Polish and very good English communication skills, both written and spoken; additional language capabilities are a plus.
• Good understanding of Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills; experience with SAP, Cadency, RPA, or other finance tools will be considered a plus.
• Advanced analytical and numerical skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proactive, self-motivated attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an international environment.
• Good time management, organization, and ability to support multiple priorities.
• Any short previous experience in a finance-related support role will be considered a plus.
