Health & Safety (H&S) Specialist (part time)

Location: Warsaw

 

About the role:
As the Health & Safety (H&S) Specialist, you will serve as the primary contact for environmental, health, and safety initiatives at our Warsaw site. You will ensure compliance with regulatory standards and Boston Scientific policies, conduct risk assessments, and promote a culture of safety across the workplace. Reporting to the Office Services Manager, EMEA, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external authorities to implement effective H&S programs and initiatives.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the local Health & Safety lead, conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate H&S requirements.
  • Managing emergency preparedness plans and workplace safety initiatives.
  • Promoting health and ergonomics awareness, conducting incident investigations, and managing corrective actions.
  • Reporting EH&S metrics, including sustainability, incidents etc.
  • Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities and occupational health services.
  • Supporting regional and local H&S programs and initiatives.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and minimum of 5 years' experience in an H&S-related role.
  • Authorization to serve as an OHS Specialist, Senior OHS Specialist, or Principal OHS Specialist under Polish regulatory requirements.
  • Strong understanding of local and EU health and safety legislation.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Experience in a corporate or multinational environment – nice to have
