IT Support Specialist – Talent Community

The Local IT Support Specialist is responsible for delivering first- and second-line IT support for Boston Scientific employees in Poland, including the Warsaw office and remote workforce. This role ensures reliable operation of end-user technology and provides timely resolution of technical issues to support business continuity. Working as part of the Global IT organisation, the role partners with regional and global teams to deliver IT services aligned with corporate standards. The position requires strong customer focus, effective communication skills, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to onsite and remote users in Poland, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests in line with SLAs
- Support end-user computing environments, including laptops, mobile devices, and standard corporate applications (e.g. Windows 11, Microsoft 365)
- Manage and prioritise service desk tickets using approved ITSM tools (ServiceNow)
- Perform onboarding and offboarding activities, including device setup, user provisioning, and basic user guidance
- Maintain and support local IT infrastructure, including meeting room technology, printers, and network connectivity (in collaboration with global teams)
- Support and maintain video conferencing solutions (e.g. Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Logitech systems)
- Contribute to asset lifecycle management, including hardware refresh and inventory tracking
- Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, including standard operating procedures and knowledge base articles
- Partner with Global IT teams to support projects, system upgrades, and deployments
- Ensure compliance with Boston Scientific IT policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements
- Ensure knowledge base content is regularly reviewed and kept current to support efficient issue resolution and self-service
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support within a corporate environment
- Strong English skills
- Experience supporting both onsite and remote users
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft 365
- Experience with IT service management tools (e.g. ServiceNow)
- Familiarity with Apple devices and mobile device support
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN)
- Experience supporting collaboration and video conferencing tools (e.g. Microsoft Teams, Zoom)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication skills with the ability to support non-technical users
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global team environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills
