The Global Business Services (GBS) team is a function established within Boston Scientific, designed to improve the efficiency of key business processes by taking opportunities to drive standardization, leverage resources, knowledge and skills, and monitor the effectiveness of service delivery against benchmarks and service level agreements. Currently GBS is looking for a Project Manager who will be responsible for supporting the profitable and sustainable growth of Boston Scientific through the management of projects. Specific responsibilities may include: process improvements, reporting & analysis, digitization & automation, support mergers & acquisitions, relationship management and change management.



  • Identifies resourceful opportunities and solutions, with limited direction and/or no pre-defined conclusions, that lead to positive business results
  • Presents project recommendations to business leaders and influence diverse teams without authority
  • Acts as a change steward by encouraging and adopting new ways of looking at problems, processes and solutions.
  • Represents stakeholders’ requirements, based on an accurate understanding of their interests and expectations
  • Fosters business partnering by collaborating with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Acts as a Lean ambassador to develop a continuous improvement culture through; Kaizen, training, coaching and mentoring of Lean methods and behavior
  • Defines project plans, timelines, resources, roles, tasks and risks, by using project management tools  
  • Develops financial business cases for project ROI and manages project budget during project execution
  • Leads cross-functional project teams and manages project progress to ensure execution of all milestones and deliverables
  • Provides frequent project progress updates to business leaders and other stakeholders, through reports and meetings.   
  • Occasional, limited travel to other BSC sites may be required




  • BS/BA or Master Degree in Economics, Engineering, Finance or related field and/or equivalent experience
  • LEAN and/or Six Sigma Green Belt certificate is a must, a Black Belt certificate is an asset
  • 3+ years of working experience in a project role, certified in project management (Prince2 or PMP) is preferred
  • Experience working in matrix structured multinationals, preferable within Operational Excellence, Shared Services or Business Process Outsourcing environment
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Advance knowledge of MS Office (incl. MS Projects), experience with SAP is preferred  
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written. Additional European languages are an asset
