About the role:
The PtP senior analyst – subject matter expert is a key member of our talent community, bringing deep expertise in procure-to-pay processes and driving meaningful impact across a global organization. This role operates with a high level of autonomy and plays a critical role in solving complex challenges, leading cross-functional collaboration and advancing process excellence.
As a trusted advisor, you will influence global standards, enhance stakeholder satisfaction and contribute to continuous improvement, value creation and cost optimization across procurement, sourcing, accounts payable and PtP helpdesk functions.
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert for PtP processes, systems, policies and compliance requirements.
- Resolve complex, ambiguous or cross-functional issues requiring deep analytical and process expertise.
- Act as a trusted consultant to internal stakeholders on source-to-pay-related matters.
- Lead end-to-end ownership of recurring process issues, including root cause analysis and sustainable solution design.
- Identify and implement value improvements that reduce risk, improve quality, increase efficiency and enhance user experience.
- Propose process standardization opportunities and support harmonization across countries, teams and systems.
- Provide recommendations to the global process owner and influence global standards.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration between procurement, sourcing, accounts payable and PtP helpdesk teams.
- Lead workstreams or smaller projects requiring alignment across multiple stakeholders and functions.
- Represent PtP in cross-regional or global initiatives to ensure consistency in ways of working.
- Own and lead projects related to process improvements, system enhancements, acquisitions, controls, automation and operational excellence.
- Develop action plans, timelines, stakeholder maps and communication strategies.
- Track key performance indicators and deliver measurable outcomes in efficiency, compliance and cost savings.
- Build strong relationships with internal customers and stakeholders across business units and markets.
- Drive improvements in stakeholder satisfaction through high-quality service delivery and timely issue resolution.
- Influence decisions using data, insights and structured recommendations.
- Mentor and coach team members on complex topics and provide escalation support.
- Create documentation, playbooks, standard operating procedure improvements and best practices.
- Deliver training to enhance capability across the PtP organization.
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in PtP, procurement, accounts payable, finance operations or similar GBS functions.
- Deep understanding of end-to-end source-to-pay processes, including procurement, sourcing, accounts payable and helpdesk operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience managing complex or cross-functional challenges.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and Ariba.
- Solid understanding of controls, compliance and audit requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement process improvements.
- Strong influencing skills with the ability to drive alignment without formal authority.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage senior stakeholders.
- High level of autonomy and ability to define scope of action independently.
- Agile mindset with a focus on global thinking, standardization and continuous improvement.
- Proactive approach to identifying issues and driving solutions.
