Scrum Master

In this position, you will be responsible for supporting and coaching the product team on Agile/Scrum practices and ensuring Scrum is understood and enacted.

 

 

Your Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Ensures that goals are understood by everyone in the team and effectively prioritise and manage the product backlog with the Product Owner
  • Acts as a facilitator of scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives etc.) through a clear understanding of the aim of each event, taking corrective measures as required.
  • Helps the team to continuously improve the effectiveness of their incremental delivery of value to customers & stakeholders, whilst adapting to customer & stakeholder feedback.
  • Drives capability uplift in teams against strategic capabilities.
  • Actively creates and maintains the culture within the chapter based on BSC Values & Behaviors.
  • Maintains best-in-class agile expertise and resources in order to deliver the right knowledge and skills to teams.
  • Actively research relevant thought leadership and best practices, both internally and externally.
  • Maintains own technical knowledge through learning and continuous development.

 

What are we looking for in you?

 

  • 2-3 years proven experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated success working in a highly collaborative, matrix environment, with a track record of accomplishments with measurable business impact
  • Strong sense of personal accountability and courage to change how we work
  • Proven aptitude to learn quickly and improve processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and business partners
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Knowledge of backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition
  • Experience with Agile and Jira
  • Scrum Master certification is highly desired.
