Senior Accountant – Inventory Analysis
About the Role
Boston Scientific is undergoing a major global business transformation through our Magellan program – a strategic initiative focused on migrating our ERP system from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA. The goal is to simplify, standardize, and modernize our business processes while enabling data-driven growth across the company.
As part of this journey, we’re looking for a Senior Accountant – Inventory Analysis to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for supporting the accounting and reporting of inventory across the business—tracking its movement from manufacturing through to customer delivery. You'll collaborate with global stakeholders to understand inventory activity, identify accounting impacts, and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and validate inventory movements across company locations.
- Analyze inventory transactions and identify discrepancies; recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of inventory under US GAAP.
- Perform root cause analysis when processing issues occur and drive resolution.
- Collaborate with global and cross-functional teams to implement systematic solutions that enhance data accuracy.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and support automation efforts.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent (Master’s degree a plus).
- CPA preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with SmartView.
- Experience working with large data sets; ability to use analytics and automation tools.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to engage with global stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
- Results-driven and committed to continuous improvement and high-quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP, Hyperion Financial Management, Tableau, or Alteryx.
- Background in public accounting or a mix of public/private experience
