EP Account manager, RM - Cape Town, SAF
Purpose
Provide both sales and clinical support for electrophysiology (EP) solutions across assigned territories. Drive business growth by promoting company technologies through clinician education, product demonstrations, and in-lab procedure support. Build strong partnerships with physicians, EP lab staff, and stakeholders to increase adoption of EP solutions while delivering high-quality clinical support.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Commercial Responsibilities
• Act as the primary point of contact for EP products within the assigned territory, combining clinical expertise with a strong commercial mindset.
• Identify customer needs and actively drive sales opportunities by positioning EP solutions effectively.
• Deliver compelling product presentations, demonstrations, and workshops to physicians, EP lab staff, and key stakeholders.
• Partner closely with the sales team to execute account strategies, support pipeline development, and achieve sales targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with EP physicians, nurses, technicians, and hospital stakeholders.
• Support negotiations and contribute to the overall commercial success within the territory.
• Respond to customer queries and collaborate with internal teams (marketing, technical support, operations) to ensure customer satisfaction.
Clinical Support
• Provide in-lab support during EP procedures, ensuring proper system setup and real-time technical assistance.
• Support clinicians with mapping strategies, troubleshooting, and workflow optimisation.
• Deliver clinical training sessions on system usage, software, and best practices.
• Maintain strong clinical knowledge through continuous training and development.
• Provide on-call support when required to meet customer and procedural needs.
Stock & Operational Management
• Manage inventory within the assigned territory, ensuring appropriate stock levels for cases and customer needs.
• Forecast product demand in collaboration with sales and supply chain teams.
• Coordinate product ordering, delivery, and replenishment aligned with case schedules.
• Track and maintain accurate inventory records, including consignment stock.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support product returns, exchanges, and loaner processes where needed.
Job Scope and Leveling Guidelines
• Knowledge:
Developing professional with foundational knowledge or strong interest in electrophysiology, medical devices, or clinical environments. Understanding of hospital workflows is an advantage.
• Problem Solving:
Able to assess clinical and commercial situations, identify solutions, and support decision-making with guidance where needed.
• Planning and Organisation:
Capable of managing territory activities, including customer engagement, case support, and sales responsibilities.
• Discretion / Latitude:
Works with general guidance while taking ownership of territory performance, customer relationships, and development.
Requirements
• Qualified Clinical Technologist, Biomedical background, or similar healthcare-related degree
• Exposure to electrophysiology (EP) or strong interest in developing a career in EP
• High learning agility and motivation to develop both clinical and commercial expertise
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work in a field-based, customer-facing role
• Fluency in [local language] and English
• Ability to travel within the assigned territory
