Job Title:  Mechanical Engineer

 

Assists in the development and analysis of packaging, products, materials, processes, or equipment.  Under direct supervision/guidance, compiles, analyzes and reports operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified packaging, products, processes, or materials.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Undertakes and successfully completes mechanical project deliverables, with special focus on developing packaging solutions for new or existing product. Tasks will include writing and/or verifying specifications, maintaining packaging/product/process documentation, testing processes, equipment, raw materials and product, and validating equipment and processes.
  • Designs, procures, and fabricates simple tooling and fixtures.
  • Designs and coordinates rudimentary engineering tests and experiments.
  • Prepares standard reports/documentation to communicate results to technical community.
  • Completes basic tasks on engineering documentation.
  • Train technicians/operators on new processes and/or test procedures.
  • Identifies areas for improvement, suggests solutions, and submits idea records.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering
  • MS Office and MS Project experience
  • Technical writing skills

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering
  • Medical Device experience 
  • Medical Electrical Equipment / Capital Equipment experience
  • SolidWorks experience
  • Project Management experience
