Product Manager

 

About the Role

 

 

The product manager is responsible for all aspects of the product, from the product exploratory phase to the development phase and throughout the product lifecycle.

The Product Manager represents the "voice of the customer" and supports making data-driven decisions on the product such as defining product requirements, launch strategy and more. The product manager serves as the product subject matter expert including training and advising others. The product manager is collaborating and contributing to the development of educational tools, sales and marketing tools.

This position involves close interaction with other Product Managers, R&D Group leaders, Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Service, Sales, Regulation, Clinical, Marketing, and key customers globally.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Owns and leads all product aspects relating to the assigned products, from product inception to launch and throughout the lifecycle of the product
  • Develops a deep understanding of customer needs, market and trends, competition and reimbursement landscape and leverage those to make data-driven decisions for assigned products/product-line (new product ideas, product enhancements, modifications etc.)
  • Represents the "voice of the customer" and the business needs for assigned products throughout the organization and with the cross-functional teams (R&D, QA, RA, Operations etc.)
  • Owns the product value proposition and associated claims. Develops the contents for product marketing toolkits including educational, sales and marketing tools
  • Responsible for market analysis and competitors’ landscape (including pricing, positioning, product offering and sales channels)
  • Coordinating the assigned products’ activities in a multi-functional organization; including marketing, sales, operations, engineering, and services teams, while ensuring compliance with quality systems and regulatory requirements
  • Support the definition of the long-term strategy and roadmap for the relevant product lines as well as marketing strategy for the specific products including clinical and economical evidence strategy, KOL strategy and educational activities
  • Responsible for product enhancements post release as part of the Sustain activities – working with engineering to define priority and specs
  • Be the Product Champion! Instill a sense of excitement about our products within the organization, and the relevant community as a whole.
     

 

What we are looking for

 
  • Bachelor's degree in at least one of the following – SW engineering, Computer sciences, Life sciences/ Biotechnology/ Engineering.
  • MBA from a leading institution - great advantage
  • 5 years’ experience in a product management or related role at a devices company. Medical device company- advantage
  • Proven ability to work globally; willingness to travel 15-20% of the time on average
  • Proven ability to deliver successful, market-driven products in an efficient and profitable manner
  • Ability to quickly dive into technological details of the product
  • Good business analysis skills and the ability to extract requirements via interfacing with the customer
  • Native English speaker - preferred. Additional languages would be considered an advantage
  • Personality:
    • Must be passionate and charismatic and be able to instill those qualities in others, both internally and externally  
    • Autodidact, Independent
    • Great interpersonal skills
