Job Purpose:
At Boston Scientific, the Process Development Associate Director will provide a clear, single point of connection from Process Development to the Cartago Manufacturing Plant. The Process Development Associate Director will be responsible for building, managing, and influencing relationships/strategies with key plant stakeholders at the Cartago Plant (engineering, production, finance, human resources, capital equipment, materials management, facilities, project management, etc.). In addition, this person will lead Technology Development and New Product Development efforts to ensure solid alignment and execution within the Process Development function and the Cartago site.
This position is based at the Cartago site.

Your Responsibilities Include:
· Strategic Leadership & Vision
· Define and communicate the department’s vision, strategies, and projects to enhance business metrics.

· Initiate cross-functional partnerships to resolve technical and systems issues.
· Operational Execution
· Oversee the transition of new products from R&D to full-scale production.
· Develop and implement robust manufacturing processes, utilizing Six Sigma tools and optimizing layout and flow.
· Ensure all processes meet regulatory and quality requirements, working closely with QA and business counterparts.
· Manage capital equipment specification and purchasing, balancing technology needs with ROI.
· Collaborate with R&D to ensure manufacturability is considered in product design.
· Quality & Compliance
· Ensure compliance with all quality system regulations.
· Demonstrate and instill a strong commitment to patient safety and product quality, ensuring staff are trained and compliant.
· Resource & Staff Management
· Develop and execute budgets in partnership with R&D and Operations.
· Guide, train, and motivate staff, supporting career development and maintaining a high-quality team.
· Determine appropriate staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation in coordination with other managers.
· Process Development & Continuous Improvement
· Execute and manage process development goals and strategies.
· Oversee deliverables related to TDP/PDP, project management, and quality systems.
· Lead efforts to develop, recognize, and implement key engineering tools and best practices.
· Develop departmental objectives and metrics, driving their execution and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For:
· Licenciature in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, Master degree is a must.
· 7-10 years of related work experience
· 5+ years direct people leadership experience leading technical teams.
· English Level required: C2+ (95% - 100%).
· Desired knowledge: Process development, new product development or manufacturing experience required. Strong financial acumen with solid understanding of budgets.
