About the Role:

Manager for multiple product lines, technologies or specialized functions. Devotes a significant portion of their time to managerial, leadership and staff development responsibilities.

Your Responsibilities Include:

· Owns design components of the Design History File of the portfolio assigned.

· Evaluates, asses and documents design and process changes to determine impact to product performance.

· Drives functional excellence initiatives, delivers high quality functional deliverables, and ensures technical excellence for product or technical development.

· Drives technical projects of major magnitude and scope.

· Provides significant guidance and approval regarding technical strategies and approaches.

· Owns intellectual property development for the multiple product lines, technologies or specialized functions.

· Provides guidance and training to staff, assists subordinates in attaining career goals, motivates individuals to achieve results, and recruits and maintains a high quality staff.

· Develops and monitors department budgets.

· Determines appropriate staff levels, schedules and resources.

· Coordinates sessions with the project managers/core team leaders to look for opportunities for staff to learn about new initiatives or volunteer on new projects.

· Drives the development of department tools and methodologies.

· Determines project staff assignments and schedules work to meet completion dates and R&D deliverables.

· Establishes cross-functional team relationships.

· Provides an overview of the function and role of his/her group, technical skill sets, to other groups and/or divisions.

· Works cross-functionally in identifying and resolving technical issues.

· Drives and evaluates project and department progress, technical development plans, and results.

· For those individuals that supervise others, the following statements are applicable:

· Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.

· Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.

What We’re Looking For:

· Licenciature degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electronic, Electrical Industrial Maintenance or related field.

· MBA or Technical Master degree is desirable

· At least 10 years of experience in similar positions.

· At least 3 years of experience in R&D functions

· English Level: C1: 90-94%

· Desired knowledge: Desing control methods such as Risk Analysis (dFMEA, pFMEA) Desing Validation and Verification plans, protocol and report generation. Problem Solving Methodology. PDF/TDP system.

· Competencies: Developing others, strategic thinking, influence, courage, communication, relationship building and innovation.
