Senior Manager, Commercial Capital Equipment APAC

Purpose Statement: 

The Senior Manager for Commercial Capital Equipment will be based either in Japan, and drive regional execution of the APAC Capital Equipments strategy through strong cross-functional collaboration and influence across markets. This role is accountable for leading the regional Capital Equipments commercial plan, aligning with global strategy, and enabling local execution through tools, data, and support. While country commercial leaders retain direct P&L ownership, this role holds shadow P&L responsibility and plays a critical role in driving visibility, consistency, and performance accountability across the region.

 

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and drive execution of the APAC Capital Equipment commercial strategy, aligning global objectives with local market plans and timelines
  • Own and track the regional shadow P&L for CE, identifying drivers of growth, margin expansion, and commercial opportunity across countries and divisions
  • Collaborate closely with local market commercial leaders, supporting their execution of CE initiatives through tools, KPIs, and strategic guidance
  • Act as the bridge between global CE leadership and local market teams, ensuring messaging, pricing strategies, and commercial priorities are effectively cascaded and adapted
  • Develop and manage a regional team responsible for sales enablement, product support, and executional consistency
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders including CETS, Commercial Operations, Finance, Legal, Marketing and Global Product Teams to drive CE performance across pricing, contracting, marketing, and planning
  • Provide commercial input into new product launches, pricing frameworks, and service program design
  • Track and report CE performance metrics to local market, regional and global stakeholders, helping drive transparency and decision-making
  • Support preparation of CE-related content for AOP, business reviews, and global reporting
  • Lead a small team of Expertcare Sales and product Specialists who support the markets

 

 
Requirements: 
 
  • Requires a minimum of 10 - 15 years in commercial leadership, sales, or marketing roles in the medical device or healthcare sector
  • Proven track record of delivering results through influence in a matrixed environment
  • Experience managing commercial initiatives across diverse markets and cultures
  • Strong business acumen and analytical capabilities, with P&L awareness
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership presence
  • Experience in Capital Equipment, Services, or Healthcare is highly preferred 
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus
