About the role
Responsible for the development, adoption, and expansion of Endobariatrics therapies within the assigned market.
This position designs and executes therapy awareness and market development strategies aligned with the strategic priorities of the Boston Scientific Endoscopy division. The role is responsible for driving therapy adoption, supporting clinical implementation, developing centers of excellence, and ensuring the assigned territory meets or exceeds sales objectives.
This role also provides clinical and technical support during procedures, ensuring proper device utilization, physician training, and optimal clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Therapy Development & Market Strategy
• Develop and execute the annual therapy development and market growth strategy for the Endobariatrics portfolio within the assigned territory.
• Identify and prioritize key accounts including hospitals, clinics, and bariatric centers.
• Develop new accounts and support the growth and consolidation of existing therapy centers.
• Analyze market opportunities, competitive landscape, pricing dynamics, and clinical trends within bariatric and therapeutic endoscopy markets.
• Work cross-functionally with Sales and Marketing teams to implement therapy awareness and demand generation initiatives.
• Identify opportunities within the obesity care pathway and referral networks to expand therapy adoption.
Clinical Support & Therapy Implementation
• Provide on-site clinical and technical support during endobariatrics procedures.
• Support physicians during the therapy adoption process and learning curve.
• Ensure appropriate case preparation, device setup, accessory utilization, and troubleshooting during procedures.
• Deliver clinical training and education to physicians and healthcare staff on proper use of company products and therapy protocols.
• Act as the primary technical liaison between physicians and Boston Scientific to ensure successful therapy outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, company policies, and quality guidelines during therapy implementation.
Medical Education & KOL Development
• Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in Endobariatrics.
• Organize and support physician education initiatives including workshops, hands-on training, proctorships, and scientific meetings.
• Support the development of therapy champions and centers of excellence.
• Promote generation of local clinical evidence and success cases to support therapy adoption.
Commercial Management
• Ensure achievement of sales targets, profitability, market share, and growth objectives for the Endobariatrics portfolio.
• Develop and execute weekly, monthly, and quarterly action plans based on sales performance and market opportunities.
• Collaborate with the commercial team to identify, develop, and close business opportunities.
• Prepare and manage customer quotations, ensuring appropriate pricing structures and commercial conditions aligned with company strategy.
• Participate in negotiations with strategic customers when required.
• Support the management of purchase orders, invoicing processes, and customer transactions in coordination with internal teams.
• Manage accounts receivable follow-up and payment collection activities in alignment with company financial policies.
• Support the structuring, negotiation, and review of commercial agreements and contracts with healthcare institutions.
• Manage and optimize therapy-related inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels, efficient product rotation, expiration control, and minimization of obsolete inventory.
• Monitor demand forecasts and case projections to ensure adequate supply planning.
• Analyze sales and financial reports to identify opportunities, risks, and performance deviations.
Cross-functional Collaboration
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders including bariatric surgeons, gastroenterologists, anesthesiologists, nutritionists, and obesity program coordinators.
• Support the development of integrated obesity management programs within healthcare institutions.
• Work closely with internal teams including Marketing, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Clinical, and Finance to ensure successful therapy implementation and business growth.
Required Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, Medicine, Surgical Instrumentation, or related healthcare field.
• Intermediate English Level desirable
Experience
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the medical device industry.
• Experience providing clinical support in procedural environments, preferably in endoscopy or minimally invasive surgery.
• Experience in bariatrics and/or therapeutic endoscopy is highly valued.
• Experience in new therapy development, market expansion, or product launches is desirable.
