We are seeking a Process Technician III on a permanent basis to join our team.
Job Purpose:
With general supervisory direction, ideal candidate will be responsible for performing support functions for sub assembly and Top Assembly manufacturing processes within the Spy Production Unit, including troubleshooting equipment and process issues, and performing and documenting machine maintenance and calibration procedures. Expectation is that ideal candidate would partner with engineering Technicians & Engineers in developing methods and procedures to control or modify manufacturing processes. Engineering Qualification essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and troubleshoot process, material, tooling and equipment problems to minimize down time and improve yields.
- Comply with the internal and external regulatory environment.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and equipment schematics.
- Excellent communication skills essential.
- Perform preventative maintenance and calibration procedures, as well as author equipment maintenance and calibration procedures.
- Proactive in reduction of non-value activities backed by Data Analysis
- Identify, design, and implement process equipment, tooling, and fixture changes to improve reliability of the process.
- Revise existing documents, processes, and/or methods to correct or improve processes/product.
- Work with vendors/suppliers to procure and install tooling, fixtures, and/or equipment.
- Assist in Value Improvement Projects (VIP), PSRM, implementing new equipment or processes or improving existing ones (CI) for cost savings.
- Work with Engineers to bring new processes into production.
- Work with departmental customers to improve Scrap Yield.
- Train and provide technical support or direction to product builders and mentor junior technicians.
- ESD Test Methods & Troubleshooting skills.
Education & Experience:
- Engineering NFQ Level 7 Ordinary Bachelor Degree.
- 5 years industry experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Self-motivated to seek out opportunities to improve process performance.
- Communicates well with peers on issues/problems that arise.
- Good computer skills and systems knowledge.
