We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst  on a permanent basis to join our team.

 

 

 

 

 

Job Purpose:

 

 

For more than 30 years, Boston Scientific has advanced the practice of less-invasive medicine.  The Company's products help physicians and other medical professionals improve their patients' quality of life by providing alternatives to surgery.

Due to continued expansion of our operations, we are seeking applications from a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Financial Analyst (Permanent). Reporting to the Finance Manager this position will play a key role in the planning, reporting and analysis of financial information at the Clonmel site. Prepares financial plans and forecasts based on performance expectations. Gathers and publishes financial information related to historical, current and future performance. Performs financial analysis utilizing appropriate financial concepts and techniques. Recommends alternative courses of action.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

 

  • Develop Commercial Reporting model linking to Supply Chain signals and Manufacturing. Build plans with focus on margin improvement and enabling BSC growth
  • Act as Finance Support for Production Unit or New Product/Integration activity to act as influencer and trusted adviser within the core team.
  • Prepare sensitivity analysis impact on revenue, cost and profitability by modelling changes in key variables (recommending appropriate course of action).
  • Implementation and maintenance of internal controls and best practice policies.
  • Manage Month-end reporting activities ensuring key reporting deadlines are met.
  • Perform financial analysis, as directed by management, and recommend alternatives courses of action by utilising appropriate financial/data analytics tools
  • Reporting on Site Performance Metrics and providing commentary and analysis for key drivers.
  • Co-ordinate Site Annual Plan, Strategic Plan and Forecasting processes providing key link to senior management on financial and non-financial performance.
  • Develop detailed financial forecasts incorporating historic, trended and current business information, including Divisional reporting.
  • Develop and evolve performance standards/metrics both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Embed a continuous improvement culture ensuring process standardisation and consistency.
  • Contributes to the completion of specific programs and involvement in ad hoc projects.

 

 

 

Education & Experience:

 

 

  • Qualified accountant with ideally 3+ years’ experience in an Accountant position in a multinational or internationally focused business, costing experience an advantage.
  • Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA
  • Level 8 qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in SOX environment desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, acting as well organized, self motivated person with the ability to operate on own initiative.
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office, data analytics experience a distinct advantage
  • Ability to achieve commercial & business targets & deadlines.
