About the Role
The core objective of this role is to lead the day-to-day activities of Field Clinical Specialists EP as key members of the commercial organization,  to drive clinical excellence through developing the Clinical Specialist team and responsible for leading, coaching and developing the Clinical Specialist team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.  Additionally this role ensures team members stay up to date with industry, competitor and product knowledge.

The FCS supervisor will work in close collaboration with Account managers and other function to ensure account plans are developed and executed to address the customers clinical and development needs.

As part of the electrophysiology (EP) department, this remote field-based role offers a permanent position and requires extensive travel across Belgium as and when required by client and team needs.

 
Your responsibilities will include:

 

People Development:

  • Responsible for supporting a high performing team and facilitating a positive winning spirit and collaborative culture. 
  • Identifying and attracting Clinical Specialists and supporting their onboarding into the team and organisation
  • Proactively applying own technical knowledge and experience to coach team members in the field and providing constructive feedback, identifying training needs to support and achieve individual and business goals as well as development objectives
  • Drives positive employee engagement and team culture within the team and across the EP division 
  • Establish and promote a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.

Building and Maintaining Relationships - collaboration: 

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships and understanding of customers
  • Maintains contact with major accounts and key relationships
  • Supports key customers with education forums
  • Attends and participates in customer, company and industrysponsored events and meetings
  • Develops and maintain relationships with functional areas
  • Creates an environment for the team to share knowledge and ideas
  • works collaboratively with Sales team to ensure clinical services and programs are delivered to clinical stakeholders and with cross functional team to achieve required business outcomes

 

Clinical excellence: 

  • Provide clinical support including trouble shouting and clinical guidance on the use of Boston Scientific products
  • Conduct training for physicians on EP products and procedures; design, develop and plan training programs for healthcare professionals, together with Marketing
  •  Assist the sales team with product demonstrations and promote value of our products.
  • Advisor / expert of products: Act as consultant for healthcare professionals by providing solutions to medical, clinical and technical questions; recommend the best clinical solutions as part of product strategy
  • Market development: growing the number of procedures through training and development of key centres/physicians
  • Assure that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained to Quality System compliance and adhere to the BSC Quality Policy.
  •  Be a subject matter expert in the product portfolio and can differentiate each product line against competitor products
  • Continual development and maintenance of clinical knowledge through published literature, conference addresses and local clinical expertise
  • Shares clinical and technical experiences in a way that motivates others and teaches applicable skills

 

 

What are we looking for in you:

  • Clinical experience within Electrophysiology or Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) is a plus
  • Experience of coaching or mentoring team members in a clinical environment.
  • Degree in life sciences or engineering
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of an organisation.
  • Can understand and communicate complex technical and clinical details.
  • Can rapidly adapt to a very dynamic marketplace.
  • Strong team player, collaborative, can build relationships and work cross-functionally.
  • Self-motivated and can influence others.
  • Flexible, adaptable but focused and persistent.
  • Willing and can travel extensively as required by workload.
  • Available for occasional weekend work.
