We are seeking a Quality Technician I on a permanent basis to join our team. 

 

Purpose

Provide Quality Technician support to the Complaint Investigation process in the following areas:

 

Responsibilities

  • Receipt and decontamination of customer complaint devices.
  • Analysis of complaint devices and the timely and accurate write up of complaint investigations in the Complaint Management System
  • Archiving and disposal of complaint devices
  • Laboratory maintenance 
  • Customer complaint evaluation/analysis and investigation write-up.
  • Manage product receipt into the CIS laboratory and product decontamination.
  • Maintain compliant customer complaint records on the Complaints database.
  • Maintenance, archiving and disposal of complaint devices
  • Maintenance of Laboratory equipment, as required.
  • Assist Quality engineers in failure analysis and CAPA activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Assist with quality issues and quality metrics related activities.
  • Assist with audit-related activities, as required.
  • Update databases and spreadsheets used to track, monitor, and report department activities.
  • Provision of excellent service to all internal customers for the functional area.

 

 

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • NQF Level 6 (120 Credits) or above in STEM Discipline.
  • Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work on one’s own initiative and with minimum supervision.
  • Team player, fully motivated to achieve and demonstrate best practices in line with the department and Site objectives
  • Good interpersonal skills and organisational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret procedures
  • Experience in complaint investigation and Product Knowledge is desirable.
  • Previous experience in a Quality Systems role is required.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate basic technical and compliance related information in written and oral form
  • Hepatitis B Vaccinations course required to work with returned decontaminated product.
  • Problem solving/PDCA knowledge desirable.
