We are seeking a Vascular Therapies Project Manager I on a permanent basis to join our team. 

 

Job Purpose:

The Project Manager will lead multiple projects and programs within the Vascular Therapies Franchise, with a key focus on our collaboration with an external partner based in China. Project types include R&D co-development, Sourced Finished Medical Device (SFMD), commercialization of new products (both single-use devices and capital equipment), and sustaining activities. These projects will involve global, cross-functional teams based in the U.S., Europe, and China.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional teams across business units and manufacturing sites, managing projects of varying scope, including schedule, costs, and resources.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, monitoring progress against key business objectives and goals.
  • Provide input to functional managers on team and team member performance, while maintaining strong relationships with functional heads.
  • Manage project initiation, planning, and execution, fostering team ownership and commitment.
  • Serve as the liaison between the team, functional leaders, and divisional leadership, ensuring effective communication and resolution of cross-functional issues.

Education & Experience:

  • Level 8 Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering, Sciences, or another field providing a solid foundation in technical and analytical skills.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Cross-functional project team leadership experience.
  • Must be willing and able to travel, sometimes internationally, ~15% of the time.
  • Works under minimal supervision.
  • Prior experience in medical devices and/or other highly regulated industries.
  • Previous experience with Sourced Finished Medical Device (SFMD) projects, suppliers or related activities.
  • Ability to understand and communicate core functional processes, helping simplify complexity for teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through challenges, fostering collaboration and maintaining momentum during periods of uncertainty.
  • Awareness of industry trends and commitment to keeping customer needs central to project decisions.
  • Experience managing the triple constraint (scope, time, cost) and addressing risks before they impact outcomes.
