About the Role:
Boston Scientific is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Talent Acquisition to oversee recruitment strategies across LATAM. This role is crucial for building and leading a team to attract, engage, and retain top talent. The successful candidate will be responsible for stakeholder and vendor management, early career programs, and devising innovative talent strategies to support organizational growth. The ideal candidate will also champion the integration of advanced technologies, including AI, to enhance recruitment processes and support organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse, high-performing team of talent acquisition professionals, fostering a growth mindset and a culture of collaboration and innovation. Build a cohesive and adaptable team by providing clear direction, regular feedback, and opportunities for skill and career development. Create a supportive environment that encourages open communication, experimentation with new processes, and the sharing of best practices. Empower team members to take ownership of projects while promoting cross-functional collaboration and a results-oriented approach.
Change Leadership and Transformation: Guide the talent acquisition function through transformative change and continuous improvement, championing the adoption of AI and advanced technologies. Build a resilient team that embraces change and continuously seeks new, innovative solutions to meet evolving business needs. Cultivate an agile mindset within the team to adapt to shifting market conditions and organizational priorities.
Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and vendors to ensure alignment with recruitment goals and objectives. Consult proactively with hiring managers and the business, leveraging data-driven insights, understanding evolving talent needs, and delivering strategic recruiting solutions.
Early Careers Programs: Create and oversee initiatives focused on recruiting early career professionals, including internships, co-op programs, and entry-level positions. Build strong partnerships with local colleges and universities to be seen as an employer of choice. Continue to build upon the early career program to drive hiring and establish strong talent pipelines for the future.
Building Talent Strategies: Develop and implement comprehensive, proactive talent acquisition strategies that support the needs of a high-growth company operating in a competitive market, aligning with business objectives to foster long-term growth.
Technology-Driven Talent Strategies: Collaborate with cross-functional leaders in the development and implementation of cutting-edge talent acquisition strategies that leverage AI and other technologies to optimize recruitment efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Establish and monitor KPIs to measure the success of recruitment efforts, ensuring continuous improvement and achievement of targets.
Collaboration: Work closely with Talent Management, Total Rewards, HR Operations and COE leaders, HRBPs, business leaders, and other functions to ensure a cohesive approach to talent acquisition and organizational development.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in talent acquisition within a large, matrixed organization, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing high-performing, large teams.
- Experience in developing proactive talent strategies to support a high-growth company in a competitive market.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing early career recruitment strategies and programs.
- Demonstrated proficiency in recruitment software and AI platforms, with the ability to leverage data analytics for informed decision-making.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders and drive organizational change.
- Experience leading teams through periods of transformation, demonstrating resilience and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships across business units and functions, promoting an agile and unified approach to talent acquisition.

- Demonstrated ability to understand the business and the critical role that the talent acquisition function plays in driving top-line growth and operational income.
- Proven experience in developing strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
