About the role:
The core objective of this role is to lead the Cluster divisional sales teams (Southern Cluster - Italy, Spain and Portugal) to meet or exceed the targeted sales revenue plan. This position reports to the divisional Vice President and will work with direct reporting Cluster divisional sales teams along with the EMEA divisional marketing team to develop and execute revenue goals, drive revenue growth & profitability in line with EMEA objectives and tactical plans.
Key objectives are to ensure customer satisfaction and business growth through focused sales executive excellence and strong cluster team leadership; excel in communicating to their team the strategies and the changes required to make BSC stronger for the future; motivate and retain the best in a challenging environment.
This position is a member of the divisional EMEA leadership team to define & execute the divisional EMEA BSC strategy.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Responsible for the successful operation of the cluster activities of major significance to the organization. Responsible for Divisional P&L.
- Think strategically – create holistic plans that create long term success
- Partnering across divisions to anticipate market dynamics and create BSC approaches.
- Develop and implement all necessary commercial policies and procedures to ensure the effective business level of the division and to meet business objectives. Develop, get buy in and implement regional operational sales framework in cooperation with all other senior managers in the region, ensure and supervise implementation and correct follow up.
- Prepare, gain acceptance, and monitor the implementation of the annual operating plan (which should be in line with mid-long-term EMEA and cluster divisional strategic plan) to ensure that all general strategic and financial targets are met, that revenue flows are maximized and that fixed cost are minimized. Led in the development of strategies, policies and processes across all divisional functions that will help to achieve the division's mission and core objectives
- Regional mind-set. Spend necessary time in all regions under his/her responsibility, get good understanding of market and business challenges, attend key and relevant regional divisional events (e.g. National Congress Urology in relevant markets/countries) and develop a field coaching strategy with direct regional reports
- People Leadership:

- Direct and control the work and resources of the region and the division and ensure the recruitment and retention of the required number of well-motivated, trained and developed staff to ensure the achievement of mission and objectives
- Define and implement the right organizational structure per country to ensure that the division continues to operate efficiently and effectively.

- Analyse and update sales rep commission scheme
- Maintain team motivation, retaining talents in a changing environment.
- Selling Activities: Manage quarterly cluster sales forecasts and participate in the determination of market potential and sales expense estimates, within business approach; Identify sales forecast gaps, submit corrective strategies and implement aggressive sales growth by Country. Ensure each sales representative through regional sales managers & sales manager has growth and maintenance accounts with clear targets and action plan; Identify & recommend promotion programs and materials to help support the sales plan & strategy; Share personal selling experience in a way that motivates others and teach applicable skills - Leverage on individuals' success stories across the division; Actively support cluster selling initiatives by proactively assisting in the training and influencing their team.
- Business Management: Monitor cluster & country sales performance on an ongoing basis, initiating corrective actions, preparing reports, summaries, analysis and documentation on all aspects of region management; Plan and control expenses to ensure sales objectives are met within budget; Perform a monthly P&L review; Integrate individual territory plans and account profiles into a broader regional sales plan and coach sales team accordingly; Conduct quarterly sales reviews and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Clinical Excellence: Collaborate with Medical Affairs team.
- Building and Maintaining Relationships: Establish and maintain effective formal and informal links with major local and regional accounts, key decision makers and other stakeholders, seeking to leverage them into profitable business ventures and to exchange information and views and to ensure that the company is providing the appropriate range and quality of services.
- Represent the company in negotiations with key and relevant customers and other key contacts to secure the most effective contract terms for the division
- Industry Knowledge: Provide continuous tools and education to team members to ensure up-to-date industry, competitor and product knowledge; Maintain knowledge of the industry and the competition continually seeking information from physicians, pharmacists, suppliers, and others to challenge, modify and prioritize cluster strategy; Maintain awareness of industry trends and their impact on country sales activities; Work closely with Health Economics COE in order to accelerate/maintain funding for our products; Articulate strategies in order to leverage the Health Economic environment, anticipate competitor moves.
- Creative Economic and Value-Added Solutions: Identify and develop working relationships with the economic buyer; Facilitation of contract negotiations involving all products within the division; Create a complete “bundle” of product and value-add services; Evaluate situations as they affect both the account/customer, as well as the division’s overall long and short-term business needs; Help define negotiation parameters for tough economically constrained customer situations.
- Quality: As interface to Clients and Customer Service has direct responsibility to facilitate, share documents and process to identify, notify and ensure any complaint or problem are addressed, thereby demonstrating high commitment to Quality in all interactions and behaviors.
