Purpose Statement

As the HR Director for Australia & New Zealand (ANZ), you will spearhead people strategies which are aligned with business and global people focused goals, foster a high-performance and inclusive culture, to drive organizational growth.
You will join a collaborative, growth-focused team passionate about fostering a “high-performance culture,” where talent attraction, talent management, capability development, and people engagement are critical aspects that drive the business strategy. You will join the ANZ senior leadership team, who are focused on ensuring the strategy evolves to support a larger, agile organisation, remaining connected to the vision and purpose and ensuring our culture remains at the heart of our decisions.
This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the future of the ANZ business, championing diversity and inclusion, and developing the HR team’s capability within ANZ and in APAC. To support the growth, you will play a critical role in supporting change leadership and driving meaningful innovation to support preparing for a larger organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies that support the ANZ organization's business objectives, align also to the global and APAC HR strategies and enhance employee engagement and performance
- People Development: Inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing HR team, empowering them to deliver impactful and meaningful outcomes aligned with organizational and HR goals. Ensure there is a good succession plan
- Talent Management: Embed the talent management strategy, that supports building capability within, attracting for future capability needs and building leadership capability to support the execution of the strategy
- Business Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, offering strategic insights to drive decision-making and business success
- Talent Acquisition and Development: Attract top talent and implement programs to nurture leadership and technical expertise within the organization that supports meeting future diverse capability in a proactive way
- Change Management: Lead organizational change initiatives, support teams through transitions and foster resilience. Embed the new APAC HR model within ANZ team
- Organizational culture and engagement: Champion the focus on continuing to evolve current policies and practices that are best practice and support a larger organization. Support the focus on addressing and communicating key engagement drivers with a focus on wellbeing and creating an inclusive work culture
- Workforce Planning and Analytics: Proactively anticipate future business needs, focusing on workforce planning and succession management to support long-term growth. Provide insights into key analytics to support better decision making and transparency
- HR Operations Excellence: Develop and optimize processes, tools, and systems to ensure efficient, high-quality HR outcomes that align with the new HR model
- Global Collaboration: Partner with HR Centers of Excellence, People Services and HR Service Delivery to address client groups requirements. Apply knowledge of key business drivers in making decisions related to human capital
- Organization design and development: Lead the review of span and layers, work with line leaders on organizational structure to build required capabilities and lead implementation or change management. Implement career paths and competency development work

- Influential Communication: Excellent communication skills to build trust, influence stakeholders, and ensure clarity across all levels of the organization and demonstrated experience in a matrix environment
- Inclusive Leadership: Championing diversity, equity, and inclusion by recognizing and addressing biases while fostering a culture of belonging
- Courageous Leadership: Demonstrate boldness in addressing challenges, making tough decisions, and advocating for what is right, even in the face of resistance
Key Skills and Experiences
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in senior HR leadership roles, within a top multi-national environment
- Experienced people leader
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field is preferred
- Proven track record in a senior HRBP role in a fast-paced commercial environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and influence across complex, matrixed organizations
- Experience with outsourced, COE HR models
- Experience in Talent management, Succession Planning, Talent Acquisition and Organizational Development is desirable
