About the role

Plans, develops, and mainly executes in-house product based therapy / procedure training programs for HCPs / Customers.  Works in coordination and collaboration with Latam ProfEd team to obtain content, curriculums, and information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids.  Conducts training sessions and gathers / analyzes KPIs for evaluating quality and effectiveness of training activities.  Utilize Faculty trainers with technical expertise as well as coordinates FCS / FSTs.  Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date, and should be able to coordinate an IAS together with its equipment, maintenance, and course-specific set-ups based on Region’s program indications.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer education programs through implementation of strategy, delivery of objectives and execution of logistics while effectively working with stakeholders.
  • If IAS use is under this person’s responsibilities, should be able to setup Wetlabs based on Program curriculum workstation description, as well as understand basic operation of equipment and models to execute educational programs.
  • Ensure consistency in Boston Scientific branding guidelines and product indications.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, internal and external, serving as a liaison between key educational opinion leaders and Boston Scientific programs.
  • Communicate proactively to all levels of management and all stakeholders.
  • Identify, partner with and manager appropriate resources (i.e., vendor relationships, other internal departments etc.) to ensure that meetings/events meet objectives.
  • Define, track and maintain budgets while ensuring cost saving measures, understand implications on general business management.
  • Moderate program sessions with HCPs, coordinate support team of FCS / FST, as well as required logistical support stakeholders such as catering and transportation vendors.
  • Evaluate program impact, KPI analysis, reassess objectives and outcomes, and plan for continuous improvement.
  • Keep abreast of industry standards and trends as related to responsibility and ensure compliance to governing agency guidelines.
  • Create a professional development plan with the partnership of direct supervisor.
  • Ensures awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific.

 

Requirements

  • Strong experience in medical education, particularly in labs and medical devices, feeling comfortable with managing diverse medical equipment, simulators, and ex-vivo tissue,
  • Comfortable as a Project Manager, so orderly and good at planning and executing programs and events; can track a budget and a Gantt / Chronogram,
  • Important to speak both English and Spanish,
  • Good and comfortable managing diverse groups as well as being an event opener / closer. The management of groups would include keeping them flowing through timed activities, keeping internal support team members on track of stations and tasks, with Faculty in terms of their sessions and duties, and finally in connecting with the different groups (e.g. Faculty, BSC employees, HCPs / Attendees).
