About the role

This role leads the region`s divisional HCP education strategy across the Healthcare ecosystem. Designs, plans, develops, and coordinates in-house therapy / product training programs for customers based on Science of Education. Coordinates and collaborates with the Global and other region`s professional education teams to learn and leverage best practices, training programs, materials, content etc, while being able to contextualize for Latin American realities. Determines metrics of impact as well as methodology to achieve the target impact. Is the lead for the regional education program`s sessions execution, while being the key partner and support for the train-the-trainer hand off to countries and the local execution of the country level education programs. Will search, evaluate, and recruit HCP trainers with technical and skill expertise as course faculty.  Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical and clinical information up to date. Will be key in vetting learner candidates for regional programs to ensure alignment of right programs, right faculty, right learner, and right follow up.

 

Responsibilities

  • Leads divisional professional education strategy for short and long term therapy adoption based on marketing`s key therapy / product strategies.
  • Manage divisional customer education programs through implementation of strategy, delivery of objectives and execution of logistics while effectively working with stakeholders.
  • Estimates and plans for budgetary requirements to execute all proofed programs.
  • Able to plan and execute a full multi-module blended program detailing budget and resource requirements, including collaborators, samples, models / simulators, ex-vivo tissue, own and external equipment, location, materials, faculty, AV tools, etc. and to execute these programs while collaborating with BSC members as part of the program`s support team.
  • Ensures consistency in Boston Scientific branding guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with divisional key customers, internal and external, serving as a liaison between key educational opinion leaders and Boston Scientific programs.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with divisional global partners as well as regional education leads, in order to share best practices, and leverage global and other regional programs and content towards the goal of best in class educational programs.
  • Communicate proactively to all levels of management and all stakeholders.
  • Identify, partner with, and manage appropriate resources (i.e., vendor relationships, remote support tools/platforms, other internal departments etc.) to ensure that professional education programs and courses meet objectives.
  • Define, track and maintain budgets while ensuring cost saving measures, understand implications on general business management.
  • Evaluate program impact, reassess objectives and outcomes, and plan for continuous improvement.
  • Able to develop and track an education program impact method to ensure value is extracted as well as giving learners support post-course.
  • Keep abreast of industry standards and trends as related to responsibility and ensure compliance to governing agency guidelines.
  • Create a professional development plan with the partnership of direct supervisor.
  • Ensures awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • Proven experience in medical education, ideally within medical devices or procedural healthcare, with a high comfort level both designing clinical education curriculums as well as operating in hands‑on lab training environments
  • Strong project and event management skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate, and execute complex education programs, including timelines and budgets
  • Confident live‑event leader and facilitator, comfortable opening and closing programs and managing multiple stakeholder groups in time‑sensitive settings
  • Experience coordinating faculty, internal teams, and healthcare professional learners to deliver high‑quality educational experiences
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, and ideally Portuguese
  • Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder‑management skills
  • Knowledge of and commitment to quality, compliance, and regulated healthcare environments
