About The Role

The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong background in consignment inventory, inventory control management, and logistics management. He/She will have a keen eye for control, process orientation, detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage thousands of storage locations/accounts of consignment inventories in the field with customers and internal stakeholders but at the same time be able to provide an excellent service and attitude with/to our customers and stakeholders.

The candidate should focus on processes and control physically and in books (SAP, SMK) but also be able to communicate effectively, persuasively and collaboratively with various stakeholders, and drive strategic automation and improvement initiatives that align with the company's goals. An entrepreneurial mindset and innovative approach will be crucial for identifying and implementing improvements.

Job Description

The Field Inventory Manager is a key leader focused on both control and agile service for Consignment Inventories, with the following span of control:

Headcount 16 p | Inventory Value of USD $3 M | 2100 UPN’s (SKU’s) | + 3000 Account/Customers

• Strong follow-up to contracts on time along with the commercial team.
• Strong follow-up to trace and ensure the flow of goods from order reception to delivery creation and product delivery/transportation, but also product consumption, replenishment and returns. This also includes the creation of the pre-invoicing document.
• Serve the needs of customers and commercial teams to enter in SAP the inventory needs with all kinds of documents.
• Plan the yearly physical counting aligned to the global policy and procedure.
• Request/manage travel expenses of the team with the vendor of special services (Manpower) to make the counting with the local customers and those in the country.  
• Create reserves of book to physical.
• Generation of team members' metrics to measure monthly performance and monthly bonuses.
• Strong follow-up to have the field inventory within AOP.
• Management of the different technological tools connected to SAP to ease and reduce manual processing.  

Strategy Execution: Support the business and operation of the consignment inventories business models ensuring both control and customer service.

Financial Metrics and KPIs: Inventory Records Accuracy as well as other control/financial metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) of the Field Inventory and be able to respond to Financial Audits without findings.

Project Management: Identify projects to standardize, automate and improve Field Inventory activities, define responsibilities and delegate tasks to appropriate personnel to ensure timely and efficient project completion.

3PL and Carrier Relationship/Management: foster strong relationships and processes with 3PL partners and carriers as well as with the Warehouse/Logistics Manager to ensure alignment with the company’s goals and continuous improvement.

Root-Cause Analysis: Conduct root-cause analysis of failures and implement corrective actions.

Consultation and Improvement: Work with internal business units and all stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvements.

Compliance and Quality: Manage compliance with quality control and quality assurance standards and specifications. Respond to audits and be able to pass them without findings.

Daily Operations Meetings: Lead daily operations meetings, addressing issues and outlining necessary actions.

Required Skills and Qualifications (Must)

Experience: A minimum of five years of proven experience in a leadership position of Inventory Control / Consignment Inventory Management and ability to work under pressure.

Inventory Management Knowledge: clear understanding of the consignment inventory control and of the end-to-end logistics operations including reverse logistics.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence our internal stakeholders/commercial area and negotiate with them. Excellent interpersonal skills.

Mindset: service attitude and entrepreneurial and innovative mindset to drive automation and continuous improvement as well as a mindset of process improvement.

Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Advance skills in Excel and Power BI.

Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing projects effectively.

Systems Proficiency: Strong skills in using SAP software applications.

Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in industrial Engineering, with a focus on supply-chain management.

Language Proficiency: C1 level proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

Medical Devices Experience: Experience in the medical devices sector is highly desired.
